I was born and raised ten minutes from the beach at the Jersey Shore. But then when I was 15 I made my way below the Mason Dixion Line and found myself in Charleston, South Carolina. It was then that I fell in love with the South.
Three years later I found myself in Athens, Georgia about to start my freshman year at the UGA. I love my school, I love my job (which is working for the University of Georgia Athletic Association in the Sports Communications Department), and I love all the ups and downs I’ve had here.
Though I never realized how much of an adjustment coming here would be. When they say the North and South are different worlds they aren’t joking. Each has its pros and cons but I wouldn’t change it for anything.
Currently, I am a Public Relations major at the Grady School of Journalism. I am also pursuing a minor in communications studies and a certificate in sports media. I hope to one day work in the world of sports, either at the professional or collegiate level. As of right now I’m debating on whether I want to grad school but that’s still a ways down the road.
So this blog will be a little sports, a little south, a little sass, and a lot of how I see and perceive the world around me.
