Less than a month of junior year left

And I have a lot to do between now and then.

I have the not so fun stuff.

Which includes, but is not limited to, a project due every Friday from now until May. A theory paper due at the end of the month. An analysis of a survey, a focus group, and a research paper for my PR class.

But there’s some fun stuff thrown in there too. And it starts this week.

My sister is coming to visit this weekend and is going to be my date for my formal. My boyfriend was unable to get off of work and my sister was more than happy to step in for him (personally I think she’s excited to not sleep in a twin bed or in one room with three other girls).

Next weekend brings in some fun too. A week from Friday is my favorite event of the spring: 6 Flags over Georgia Night. That’s when 6 Flags is filled with a bunch of theme park junkies, like myself, riding roller coasters for six hours. I’m pumped.

Then the next day is G-Day. Aka, the official kick-off to football season! (For those of you who don’t know kick-off, for the regular season, is exactly 152 days away from today) This year we’re changing things up a bit by having a Dawg Walk and there’s a concert before with a mystery guest (one of our interns knows who it is but won’t tell anyone).

Like I said, a lot to do.

Will all of it be accomplished before I have to take finals? Will I still be sane at that point? That still has yet to be determined.

The finality of the year didn’t really hit me until I received an email from the registrars office last week. It gave me the date when I’m registering for my SENIOR year.

When did I become a senior?

Wasn’t I just in a cramped dorm room trying to figure out how I was going to make a B in my statistics class?

That couldn’t have been two years ago already…But the scary part is, is that it has been.

Sometimes I really think these past two and a half years have been a dream. One day I’m going to wake-up in my bedroom at home and still be in high school. I’ll be stressing about AP exams and who my date to prom will be. I seriously hope I never have to go through either of those things again.

So here’s to hoping I don’t wake-up being 17 anytime soon and that I survive the rest of my junior year as 21 (that is still weird to write. Maybe it’s because I still look like I’m 17 even though I am old enough to buy a drink now).

This year has had its ups and downs, but I’m in a much better place right now than I was this time last year. That was due to a whole myriad of factors that I won’t go into detail about.

As for now, I’ll just take it one week at a time and hope May comes just as quickly as this semester went.
